Who we are not a good fit for

Six reasons we will tell you no.

Every provider in this category says they are selective. Almost none will tell you what they actually decline, which makes the claim worthless. These are ours, in writing, before you spend an hour on a call.

No

You are not a healthcare organization.

We do not serve organizations outside healthcare. Not the law firm next door, not the construction company, not the car dealership, not as a favour to a client. Every engineer here spends their entire working life inside clinical environments, and the moment we take a general commercial book that stops being true.

Instead A good generalist managed services provider will serve you better and cost less. We will name two we respect.

No

You are a hospital or health system above roughly 500 employees.

That is a different business with a different cost structure, a different staffing model, and usually an internal security team that needs a partner rather than a provider. We would be the wrong shape and we would be more expensive per unit of value than a firm built for it.

Instead You want a regional MSSP or a staff-augmentation partner, and we can point you at both.

No

You want support only, without the security baseline.

Help desk without enforced MFA, EDR on servers, and restore-tested immutable backup creates a liability we will not carry and a client we cannot defend. When the incident happens — and across our book it happens to somebody every year — we would be the firm that had access to everything and was contractually forbidden from fixing the thing that mattered.

Instead Chartline Core is the floor. If that is more than you want to buy, we are not the right provider.

No

You have fewer than 15 users.

Below that the economics do not work for either side. The fixed cost of onboarding, documentation, and a compliance program does not compress below a certain floor, so a ten-person practice ends up paying a per-user rate that is genuinely bad value.

Instead We will refer you. There are providers who have built for that size and do it well.

No

You will not enforce MFA on every path into ePHI.

This is the control that most often decides whether a cyber insurance claim gets paid, and it is the exact failure behind the largest healthcare breach on record: a Citrix remote access portal, stolen credentials, no second factor, 192.7 million individuals affected. We understand that enforcing it on the practice management system will make three people unhappy for two weeks. We will help you through those two weeks. We will not sign without it.

Instead This one is not negotiable and we would rather say so now than discover it during onboarding.

No

You want EHR selection, implementation, or optimization consulting.

We integrate with your EHR partners. We do not replace them. Choosing a practice management system, configuring clinical workflows, and optimizing templates are a different discipline practiced by people who do it full time, and a firm that claims both is usually good at neither.

Instead We work alongside your EHR partner and own everything underneath the application.

Why publish this

A qualification page is the cheapest trust you can buy.

Two things happen when a provider will not say what they decline. The first is that a practice which was never going to be a fit spends three weeks in a sales process, and so do we. The second, and worse, is that the provider takes the engagement anyway, because revenue is revenue, and eighteen months later everyone is unhappy for reasons that were visible on day one.

We looked at every comparable provider in the Southeast and none of them publish a page like this. That is not because it is a difficult page to write. It is because writing it means committing to turning down money in public.

The commercial argument is straightforward. Published constraints are the strongest possible signal that the constraints we describe elsewhere on this site — the response-time commitments, the pricing, the metrics — are also real. A firm that will publish what it declines has already accepted the cost of being held to its word.

If you are outside the fit and want a recommendation

Call the sales line or send a note. We keep a short list of providers we would send our own family to, organised by what they are actually good at, and we do not take a referral fee for any of them. It takes ten minutes and it is a better use of your time than a discovery call with us.

Still here

Then the next step is cheap.

The readiness check takes about eight minutes and tells you where you actually stand against the Security Rule. It is the same fifteen questions we open a real assessment with.

Under attack right now? (615) 555-0119

Our incident line is answered 24/7/365 by a security engineer, not a queue. Clients and non-clients both. If you are mid-incident, call before you email.
